Thank goodness the Rangers have some good juju at MSG, right? After yesterday’s debacle for the Knicks, the Rangers and GM Jeff Gorton reeled in the biggest fish on the free agent market in Artemi Panarin.
To make matters even sweeter, the coup prevented division rival Isles from leaning the 27 year old Russian winger. Granted, the term is massive – 7 years and just under $12 million – but this was a necessary move for a top line forward.
He’s a game breaker offensively (320 points in 322 games) and integrating him with the Rangers kids should enhance this wonderful rebuild Gorton has orchestrated.
Panarin’s addition will surely spell the end for longtime Ranger, Chris Kreider, wearing a blue shirt.
It’s nice to see one side of the MSG Front Office delivering on a promise. Trouba/Kakko/Panarin > Zion/KD/Kyrie
Giddy isn’t the word…..
