Nick Swisher and the word “bro” go together like peanut butter and jelly. On Monday, Swisher was given the task of introducing the Yankees second round pick, 61st overall, Josh Breaux out of McLennan Community College in Texas. Of course, the pronunciation of Breaux is “bro” and the result was glorious…
Bro, was there a more perfect pick for Nick Swisher to announce?

Breaux, like first rounder (23rd overall) Anthony Seigler, is a catcher by trade.
I don’t know the MLB Draft or the prospects at all but I’m down with the Yankees creating some organizational depth behind the plate. Over the past 10 years or so, the Yanks have had some intriguing names that either led to being a mainstay or a piece for a trade, namely: Sanchez, Murphy, Romine, Montero and Cervelli.
For the record, I don’t see the selections of Seigler and Breaux being a message to Gary in any way, shape or form; I think it’s simply going best player(s) available, bro.
