This post is by no means a slight at LeBron James. In fact, after taking down the Celtics, I have grown a keen liking for the Akron Hammer.
Because the Knicks are the worst franchise in the history of professional sports, I have always looked at the NBA like professional wrestling; hate a team or player one year, love them another. That doesn’t make me a band-wagoner. If I was I would be rooting for the Warriors like I have in the past. But the enemy of my enemy (Celtics) is my friend, and this season I have bent the knee to King James.
Having said all this, the Warriors have the ammo to destroy the Cavaliers. LeBron may be the best play in the land, but Durant, Steph, Klay and Draymond are way too powerful to go up against James’ teammates. Cleveland may win one game. Heck they may even take 2 from the lackadaisical Warriors who have nothing to prove to anyone. But talent wins out in the NBA.
It’s sad that the NBA has come to this. The Warriors will win their 3rd Championship in 4 years. LeBron will inevitably leave (who can blame him?) and the Houston Rockets will revamp to take down the super-team that is Golden State. All dynasties eventually fall. But it won’t be this year.
Prediction: Warriors in 6
Have a great day and watch this video that CBS Sports made. It’s fire.
