Intern Dylan’s 2018 NFL Mock Draft

Finally! In almost 48 hours, all the speculations, rumors, smokescreens and analysis ends. That is then though, and this is my long awaited mock draft. 33 Picks, Round 1 and one extra pick, Lets do it!

With the first pick in the 2018 draft the Cleveland Browns select……

Josh Allen QB Wyoming

This was simple Sam Darnold or Josh Allen. Allen is the better fit. Allen has the big arm that Browns GM John Dorsey loves. He is built to play in cold weather. Allen is a boom or bust pick, I would take Darnold here, I think this is still a good pick.

2. (New York Giants) Saquon Barkley RB PSU

Barkley is the best player in this draft class. B, the Giants get a steal here, and if everyone stays healthy, The Giants can turn it around in 2018. With one pick they can energize that offense even more.

3. (New York Jets) Baker Mayfield QB Oklahoma

This is a match made in heaven that needs to happen. It is a ideal match and I do not think it is a smoke screen, I think the Jets love him. I do not know if they would pass on Darnold but I hope they do because Mayfield is my favorite QB even though he might not be my highest ranked one.

4. TRADE (Browns to Bills) Sam Darnold QB USC

I think the Bills like Darnold and the Browns would be brilliant to jump and trade this pick and let someone else pick Darnold here, it does not matter how much it costs them either.

5. (Denver Broncos) Bradley Chubb DE NCST

Chubb fell in the laps of Denver and they get the chance to take the best player available and pair Von Miller with a guy that he loves.

6. TRADE (Colts to Dolphins) Josh Rosen QB UCLA

Rosen fell and the Fins answered back to the Jets and Bills and grabbed their own QB.

7.(Tampa Bay Buccaneers) Derwin James S FSU

James is from Florida and he adds a big play maker who makes a immediate impact.

8.(Chicago Bears) Quenton Nelson G Notre Dame

Nelson is a guy who can come in and protect the QB and help Mitchell Trubisky grow.

9.(San Fransisco 49ers) Roquan Smith LB Georgia

Smith adds leadership and is one of the most ready to play guys in this class, he will make an immediate impact and cushion the off the field issues the Reuben Foster has.

10. (Oakland Raiders) Vita Vea DL Washington

This Gruden’s team now and he adds a BIG player who can stuff the middle and make big plays on defense.

11. (Colts from Dolphins) Tremaine Edmunds LB VT

The Colts accumulated a ton of picks and now turned it around and take Edmunds who is a young guy that can be developed into an explosive play maker.

12. (Browns from Bills) Minkah Fitzpatrick CB/S Alabama

With their 2nd of 3 firsts they get a major steal. They can pair Fitz with Jabrill Peppers and form a dominant duo and also have Chubb on the line.

13.(Washington Redskins) D’aryon Payne DL Alabama

Back to back Bama picks and back to back years with Bama defensive linemen for Washington. Payne and Jonothan Allen have chemistry and will make that D Line awesome.

14.(Green Bay Packers) Denzel Ward CB Ohio St.

I love ward but he fell because of the QB selections. The Packers absolutely can make a grade A pick if Ward falls to them. Ward fills a need and is the best player available.

15.(Arizona Cardinals) Will Hernandez G UTEP

Hernandez is a big addition and fits well in the offense. There was a chance I went Lamar here but I think the Cardinals dumped to much into Bradford for that to happen.

16.(Baltimore Ravens) Mike Gesicki TE PSU

Gesicki dominated the combine and dominated at Penn State in his junior year and fell off a little last year because of Tommy Stevens and the wildcat being used a little more. He adds a big play maker for Joe Flacco to have fun with.

17.(Los Angeles Chargers) Lamar Jackson QB Louisville

According to reports LA loves Jackson and want him to sit behind Rivers for awhile. I love the fit because Jackson can sit behind Rivers and learn from a legend.

18. TRADE (Seahawks to Browns) Marcus Davenport DE UTSA

The Browns just won the draft. They took their franchise guy. Traded down for two firsts this year and 1 second this year and one next year, and then flip the first pick in the second round (basically a first) and their other first from Buffalo and grab a impact player. Davenport lines up with Garret and Ogbah and forms a phenomenal D Line. Not only that but Cleveland has more phenomenal defensive players (Fitzpatrick and Peppers) and a lot of play makers on offense. The Cleveland rebuild is complete if these moves happen.

19.(Dallas Cowboys) DJ Moore WR Maryland

This is a little bit of a shocker to take him over Ridley and Sutton but he is a phenomenal player that fits well in Dallas

20.(Detroit Lions) Derrius Guice LSU

Guice comes in and becomes their main running back who will dominate defenses.

21.(Cincinnati Bengals) Mike McGlinchey OT Notre Dame

McGlinchey adds a huge impact to the offensive line.

22.(Seattle from Browns from Bills) Isaiah Oliver CB Iowa

Oliver is young and agile and can be a starter from day 1. If he ends up in Seattle he will have to start day one.

23. (New England Patriots) Leighton Vander Esch LB Boise State

Esch is a big guy and is also surprisingly agile. He will fit well with the Patriots.

24. (Carolina Panthers) Calvin Ridley WR Alabama

Ridley is a dynamic receiver and has number one receiver potential. He is a downfield threat who is perfect to play with Cam.

25. (Tennessee Titans) Rashaan Evans LB Alabama

Back to back Bama boys again. Evans is a good edge rusher to replace Avery Willamson and is a run stopper.

26. (Atlanta Falcons) Maurice Hurst DL Michigan

They need to replace Dontari Poe and the best guy to do that is Hurst. The only reason he fell to 26 was injury and he should be healed for the season. He is a monster when healthy and will make a big impact.

27.(New Orleans Saints) Dallas Goedert TE South Dakota St.

A shocking first rounder that will pay off. He has shot up my board recently and is very similar to Greg Olsen. He fills a big need for New Orleans.

28. (Pittsburgh Steelers) Ronnie Harrison S Alabama

This pick is up in the air and Harrison would be a good fit for Pittsburgh and he makes a impact next season.

29.(Jacksonville Jaguars) Isaiah Wynn G Georgia

Wynn is a good blocker and he is a good fit to help the O Line and they can put him next to Andrew Norwell and form a great O Line.

30.(Minnesota Vikings) Connor Williams OT Texas

He is capable of a lot and with some shifting he gives Minnesota good protection for their big money guy.

31.(New England Patriots) Kolton Miller OT UCLA

Miller is a agile guy and a big man, he fills a big need and helps day one.

32.(Philadelphia Eagles) Courtland Sutton WR SMU

Sutton is a splashy pick, he reminds me of Brandon Marshall. Marshall happened to play with the guy who would be his teammate, Alshon Jeffrey. He fits well for the defending champs and makes them even better.

Round 2 Pick 1 Overall Pick 33. (Seattle from Browns) Mike Hughes CB UCF

I had to add one more pick because Seattle needs another play maker and they get him here in a big way. I went CB with them before but Hughes is a returner as well and immediately adds a spark with Tyler Locket. Him and Oliver will have a chance to be a top cornerback duo for years to come.
