The Jets Are Flying High!

Hallelujah! The Jets have listened to the prayers of the fan base and are working hard to make this squad great. Although they lost out on Cousins they’ve rebounded and they are killing free agency. So here is my recap of the past 48 hours with Green and White on my mind.

Yesterday, the Jets officially lost out on Cousins. After being disappointed I figured the Jets would make up for their loss. Nope, they didn’t and I spent my day shoveling and checking Twitter in hopes of a big deal. After seeing people suprised about the Jets I put out a tweet on my account @ChillIntern showing my disappointment. As I continued to shovel I got an alert from ESPN. This alert changed the day for me and many other Jets fans.

The Jets had resigned journeyman QB Josh McCown and I was thrilled. Not because Josh is our savior and not because he would be our starter but because it proved Magic Mike was awake and knew he had work to do. Thus, the tornado of green and white started. The Jets signed QB Teddy Bridgewater as the most likely starter for next season. By the way I predicted the signing of Bridgewater in my first article titled “2018 Could Be Our Year”. Then Magic Mike signed RB Isaiah Crowell.

Crowell immediately becomes the premier back and joins Bilal Powell and Eli McGuire in a solid backfield. Then the Jets signed the number one corner on the market Trumaine Johnson from the Rams. Suddenly, Johnson joins a blooming young secondary of Jamal Adams, Marcus Maye and Johnson. Tyrann Matheiu, if your reading this the stars are aligning for you to join the Jets. I mean your dating our coach’s step daughter, your buddy Jamal Adams plays for us and Bowles is your former Defense Coordinator who you loved.

Even without Matheiu we added LB Avery Williamson and C Spencer Long and resigned WR Quincy Enunwa and the Jets have formed a solid defense and a solid offense. There’s more money to be spent and the Jets can add some playmakers still and in the draft. The Jets have woken from the dead and have made noise and shown the rest of the world the Jets are here! There’s more to come and I can not wait!
