After being drafted in the fifth round of the 2015 MLB Draft Chance Adams has been on the rise. Chance has made his way through the minors and now is currently with the New York Yankees at Spring Training. Today I got the opportunity to chat with one of the top up and coming Yankees.

Chance’s Answer: Willie Mays

Question: What current or former player would you say your most similar to or model your skills after?

Chance’s Answer: I feel like I don’t really model after any other players that well.

Question: What made you want to play baseball?

Chance’s Answer: Just always played since I was a little kid, I just really enjoy and love the sport.

Chance’s Answer: He was a cool down to earth guy.

Question: Outside of baseball what else do you enjoy?

Chance’s Answer: I enjoy working out, camping, fishing, video games, movies, reading and other things I can not think of off the top of my head.

Question: What are Chance Adams goals for this season?

Chance’s Answer: Be consistent and have the most strikeouts at whatever level I am at.

Question: Do you see yourself as a starter or a move into the bullpen in the future?

Chance’s Answer: It doesn’t matter whatever I can do contribute and help the team win.

A special thanks to Chance for taking the time out of his busy schedule to answer my questions!
