Not A Happy Camper – What Do We Do?

Last night Cole Hammels was moved to the Texas Rangers. Cole was my secondary choice for starter that would help the Yankees in the hunt for October. A couple of hours ago The Blue Jays acquired David Price from the Detroit Tigers. Although I was somewhat angry the Yanks didn’t go after the all-star lefty, it is understandable considering he is a free agent and the price would be too hefty.  I want to keep prospects Luis Servino and Aaron Judge because these guys are straight crushing the ball, and at the end of the day our franchise is about dynasties.

But just now Michael Pineda was placed on the 15 day DL with a grade 1 forearm strain (whatever that means.)  So now CC will start tonight instead on four days rest and the Pinstripes have another decision to make.  Do we make a move? Do we just insert Adam Warren right back into the rotation?  Can the rookie Diego Moreno who just threw 5 1/3 inning of no hit ball on Tuesday step up and take over? Girardi has a tough decision to make.

Hopefully Yankees GM Brian Cashman can pull a rabbit out of his hat, because we need a starter desperately.

Later,

Jimmy
